im arriving in Sydney on 29th dec and was planning on doing the same thing have ny in Sydney then travel up east coast!!
ive not got any real idea what to do for Ny either i just fancy getting drunk on the beach whilst seeing the fireworks haha!!

Hey guys, I'm heading to Melbourne in November and then also would like to be in Sydney for New Years as I have heard its amazing! Also travelling alone and very nervous!! Looking to hopefully make some friends before I leave!

Your so lucky! I'm there until the 15th but then I booked too late so couldn't stay there ... I have no plans after 2nd jan so I'm not sure whether to stay in Sydney or head up the easy coast and yeah I have I'm not sure how long hopefully up to a year you?

Yeah im the same not too sure how long im going to stay in Sydney just gonna play it by ear and go from there!! After ive done all the touristy bits ill prob start heading up towards the gold coast!
well ive booked a six month return on my flight ticket but with the option to extend it so hopefully ill be there a year to!!
