Suggestion for Myanmar trip

Greetings from Jakarta

This really is a whistle-stop tour of Burma. I hope you realise that the night buses often play loud videos through most of the journey and, because it's night, you can't see much out of the windows once it get dark. Since you have so little time in Burma, internal flights might be a more convenient option.

If you had more time, say five days to a week longer, you could catch the boat from Mandalay down to Bagan and you could also do the trek from Kalaw to Lake Inle. Lake Inle is big and there is a fair amount to see but some of it is a bit touristy and tacky (the cigar making, the cat monastery). Unless you have more time, I suggest you miss out Lake Inle and spend more time on the destinations you name.

Either way, enjoy Burma!

Hi, thanks for replying.

No one had told me about the loud videos, but I've traveled by night buses within Indonesia so I'll be alright on that matter.

Few other people already mentioned about this touristic Inle Lake, I'll think it over.
The boat trip sounds interesting, let me see if I can make it.

Cheers

Myanmar sounds fun! Have a happy trip!
