Under so much pressure at the airport, I accidentally and unintentionally lied to one of the questions the immigration officers asked me about how I met the friend I was visiting. I said we had met in the UK but we had actually met online. This was my first time travelling alone and in the US and my head was 1000 other places. I can't believe how stupid I was He let me through but this time when I go through, I want to be honest and I am scared they would have kept my answer on how we met on their systems. Is this possible? I am literally terrified that they kept my answers.
Well, your visa should be good for 3-6 months, so it shouldn't be an issue.
And, no, they wouldn't keep your response on a computer. They would probably just indicate whether it was a business trip or a vacation trip. If a business trip, then they would want to make sure you had a different visa and had a business contact for them to contact if you didn't leave as originally planned. They also would indicate if you were travelling alone or with others--and if the others were family members.
Forget about your earlier answer regarding where you met, it's immaterial.
Curious though... are you entering under the Visa Waiver Program or do you have an actual Visa to enter the US?
Lastly, I assume your nervousness is because you're visiting a boyfriend/fiance in the US and you don't want to be tripped up at the border... correct?
