A trip discussed in a day and with no planning, no idea. Wanderlust, a strong desire to travel. That's exactly what this was. My best friend and I, we wanted to see Europe, we wanted to see Greece - and with this information came the tour we didn't stop to think about. We have, or had I guess I should say now, shitty café jobs with shitty bosses making shitty money but outstanding coffee. We are both two blonde, loud, party girls- what better trip to start with than Contiki right? And right we were, the trip was booked and the countdown started. I remember receiving our Contiki guides and immediately posting it to instagram because well, we wanted everyone to know what we were up to - 165 days, 100 days, 14 days - that's how it felt, time FLIES - and off we were on our solo adventure around Europe. Cairns to Tokyo - Tokyo to Amsterdam - Amsterdam to London. 04/09/14 we met our new family. 30 strangers, some solo some together. It was incredible, that In a matter of days, hours even, the close bond that the family had. We all grew to love each other through one thing we all had in common Wanderlust. The coach, the cabins, the family, the drinking, the crying, the laughter, the sickness - Contiki Cough, the drinking, the partying was all one side of it. That side of it was a familiar side, a side that anyone could experience in the comfort of their own home town. But - the culture, the food, the language, the buildings, the famous artwork, the romance and the unfamiliarity of it all was a total new side. This is the side that I fell for, this is the side that I got the mouth-watering taste for - this was Travel, and I am ready to experience Travel a whole lot more
