Help -- Just published new blog post, but link is dead!

Hi guys,

That link currently works just fine for me (and given that it has three comments on it already, it also works fine for several other people). I can think of two reasons why it didn't work for you immediately:
1) It's a very long pots, with many photos - maybe the travellerspoint blog engine just needed a few seconds to finish publishing it internally, and you were just too fast? (I don't know anything in the code which could cause such a delay, but don't want to rule it out given the epic size of this post.)
2) You changed the "posting time" when composing the blog entry, and that time was still a bit in the future at the point when you hit "publish". That's actually a feature to allow scheduling a post a couple of days in advance, but if you triggered it without intending to do so, I can imagine the behaviour being rather confusing.

I think this is actually due to the blogs currently being run off a different server to the main site. It seems the clock on that server is not reliable and as a result there can be a slight lag before a blog entry shows. Basically it thinks that blog is not due to be posted yet, so it waits until its clock matches the time when it should show. The blog platform will be moved to the same server soon, at which point this problem should just go away. In the meanwhile - don't panic when it doesn't show at first

Got it - thanks, guys!!
