Hey all,
I am trying to book a trip to Whitsunday Islands when I get to Australia...I kind of just wanted to do a day trip or maybe 2 days 1 night type cruise. I have looked at the bigger travel agencies, and those are crazy expensive. Anyone have any recommendations of websites or companies to go through to book these types of trips, possibly smaller companies?

Such islands are expensive. They don't want many people to go and can easily fill all the places, so charge as much as they can get away with. As the islands are close to the coast, I would suggest a quick visit, maybe a day tour of the islands? I would think you could book such a thing at a local travel agent, or maybe even hire someone with a boat for some hours? Try googling:
