Hi Everyone! I'm planning on traveling to Sydney in Feb/March 2015 and was wanting some input on how I should approach this. I've looked at a few programs where they basically "hold you hand" the first week, help you find work, show you the best beaches and such. Is anyone else going through a program like this or are most people just going, staying at a hostel, and hoping for the best?

I'm heading to Sydney in April 2015. I have been granted a years working visa but my friend is heading out with me and travelling for a month.
We are just staying in hostels and moving about. Another friend of mine done the Ozintro and she recommended that to me bit as I'm heading wih someone iv opted to just travel about. I'm hoping to travel about for a few months then get a job somewhere.

This is the first time travelling solo! I arrive in Sydney on 15th jan....there are a lot of programmes hun who u can join with which yes can make it less daunting in the beginning but 2 b honest when ur time is up ur left alone anyway I guess! I think alot well the majority of people I have spoken 2 on here just book into a hostel and by the sounds of it just go with the flow as hostels r a great way 2 meet people and that's what I'm doing! I'm on a year working how visa...if I luv it which I'm sure I will will then apply for second year! If u want my opinion just book into a hostel hun....ull def meet with sumone!!xxx
