Taking contact lenses travelling

I am going travelling in two weeks, with my boyfriend, for a year and have bought a 12 month supply of lenses for the trip. Im wondering what is the best way to carry them whilst travelling (via plane). Is it better to put them in the holdall (and risk losing them) or carry them in my hand luggage? But would carrying them in my hand luggage risk getting them confiscated (i have 15 pairs, which might look suspicious?!)

I would carry them on with you. Just get a note from your eye doctor written on a prescription pad verifying that they are prescribed for you in case you do have any issues.

Safe travels.

I have carried packets of contact lenses with me in my hand luggage on several occasions and have never been questioned about them. I don't think it will look suspicious carrying all those packets - it's natural for someone to need this many if they are travelling for a year.

Been carrying in hand luggage, no problem. Since it comes in a box, you may keep it unopened.

Alternatively, keep half in in hand luggage and balance in Holdall.

You have different asnwer as different airport have their security level.
