Thanks Peter - yes, bonkers is a good word to describe it!! I've given up hope on Parisian recommendations because they seem to be only spam. Luckily, I have my handy Rick Steve's: France in hand!!
I stayed at the Hotel Audran last year and it was great for the price. it is in the Montmartre area and near the Abbesses or Pigalle metro stations. Moulin Rouge is around the corner and the Sacre Couer is about a 10 minute walk away. Enjoy.
I enjoyed the -snip- It's in the latin quarter, and I really appreciated my stay in this hotel. it's near the Pantheon and the Luxembourg Garden.
