I will travel to Europe at the end of next month. I am wondering what would be the approciate clothing.

Bring small rain jacket to be safe and jumpers (sweaters) evenings can be cool!and a hat!

Definitely depends on where you are going in Europe. The more southern parts will be warming up in May but go further north or inland and you will find it cool. Layers is the key! And an umbrella or rain jacket as nshano says - well worth the investment!
That really depends. Would you ever say: I am traveling to (insert continent) next month, what should I bring?
I was in Italy in June of last year. I went from the South to the North. The South was rainy and the North was sweltering hot. I would make sure you bring summer clothes mixed with a rain jacket. Also a mini umbrella because street vendors (if it does rain) are going to try and sell you umbrellas that break a few minutes after buying.
