I'm going to be travelling the east coast of Australia this summer with my boyfriend & we are looking for reasonable accommodation (that's still decent!!!).. We have definite dates to be in Sydney & Brisbane so looking to book them this week if anyone has any suggestions for budget hotels or hostels that have nice private rooms..

I did B&B up above Cairns and it was great.
Not too expensive and enjoyed the local information.

try the reviews on the accomodation section of this site and on sites like hostelworld ans hostelbooker. They are pretty accurate,well they have been helpful to me and my girlfriend currently travelling the east coast.
