Sorry, I think I am being a techno-phobe but for some reason I can't see how to add dates to my map. I added the destinations and there was no option I could see at that point. I've seen other people talking about putting dates on so it must be possible - just how?

This is possible, though not on Facebook. There are a bunch of limitations Facebook imposes, and most are happy to just enter trips without dates, so we made this a 'power user' feature However, if you blog on Travellerspoint (or anywhere else for that matter), having the dates filled in for a current trip is great as the map will highlight where you are.
To update the dates for a stop, go to , and click on the trip on the left that you want to edit. That will bring up a list of stops. Click on any of those stops to see the different entry options (dates, travel mode, notes and custom labels). On each stop, after making the changes you want, you can click on the little green arrows at the top to go forwards/backwards. Hit Save every now and then to save all the changes to that point.
I don't think Facebook allows posting to the wall like it used to, so it was probably just a link coming up that you could post to your wall. Let me check on that though!
To share a trip on your wall, when you're on Facebook, you need to select the trip from the dropdown just at the top left of the map (by default it says "Showing all trips"). A few options will then appear next to the dropdown:
Edit Trip Details | Re-order Stops | Add New Stop | Share
Click on "Share" to post the link to your trip on your wall.
