I'm planning to spend a couple of days in Bangkok at the beginning of October before heading onwards to Oz, where i'll be starting off in Cairns and working my way down the east coast.

hey, im driving to thailand from th uk then hoping to drive to Oz. Have spent a couple of weeks in bangkok a couple of years ago, loved it. where are you starting from?

Since I started this thread my plans have changed. I'm now gonna go straight to Oz. I'm going by myself on a whv, and as it's my first time travelling alone, I thought Asia may be a bit of a culture shock to start off in! I will probably visit it on my way back though.
I booked my flight last week. I arrive in Cairns on the 15th October. My rough plan is to travel down the east coast and to be in Melbourne for xmas (I have family there) After that who knows! Hopefully more travelling and working. Finger crossed!
