Database upgrade

Hi everyone,

Hi,
Of course I am the first one to reply..
TP is slow. Just wanted to delete a spam thread in Africa forum.
When I wanted to confirm, it did not say it was deleted. When I checked, it was gone though
Just wanted to go to Africa forum with the drop down menu on the right side...didn't work..or so slow I didn't bother anymore.
Cheers
Mike

Mike, I'm guessing/hoping these are teething problems, because yes, the site is a darn site slower, which is exactly the opposite of what the goal was of the upgrade

Ok, the speeds are relatively under control now I think. Hopefully only improvements from here on in

Doesn't seem like it should be related, but eh, not worth opening a new thread for either: Trying to report "keng02" - https://www.travellerspoint.com/report.cfm?area=1&link=keng02 - with text "copy/paste of previous (on topic) reply, with spam link inserted" - I get an unidentified error on submit.

Actually looks like this is related. Looks like an issue with the .ini and sqlmode but I'm hesitant to make this change without Pete also looking over it, so passing on my findings to him... in the meantime, keng02 is gone!

So, I'm guessing that's why I received an interesting page when trying to move from one forum to another... Said something very nice like "We are performing site maintenance and hope to be completed soon. For some interesting reading while you wait, check the blogs at TravelBlogs." Obviously not a direct quote but much nicer than 'you can't connect to the site' or 'page error'.

This one's sorted now. It was indeed related.

I just tried moving a thread from GT to NA 3 times. Each time I would get a page error message. I just went back to GT to try again. It appears the move was made to NA but it also shows it was moved 5 times on the GT page.

Yep, saw that one and just fixed it (sent you an email as well )
