I have a day to spend in Venice, Italy this weekend before boarding on a ship. Any advice on interesting or must-see places?
No. 1. Take lots of photos.
Start with St Mark's square. Doge's palace around the corner (bit of a queue), in church in square and up the tower, museum, Bridge of Sighs, so called because prisoner's last sight from covered boats before going to jail (by water), etc. A stroll through the streets (over endless small bridges).

Remember, the whole of Venice is a tourist trap where you'll pay upwards of $5 for a can of coke. Take along some food and drink. Watch your valuables.
great one. thanks cyberia looking forward to getting lost in venice
