Hey,
Although most laws are arbitrarily enforced, if you try to get into a truly happening club, age will matter. Unless you look like children, you will be able to get some booze at some places.
That said, most people who get into trouble in Thailand are doing some illegal activity.
As far as accommodations go, many lower end stays accept payment in advance. Doesn't matter how old the payer is. Do you have any credit cards?
there is no problem in making hotel booking.... as if you need to make advance booking then it will deduct from the credit card or if you are coming for a walk-in check in at hotel and paying my cash wouldn't be any problem
Thanks for the replies
I've got Visa electron, should work in most places I guess.
Yea would probably want to go some clubs, Im quite big (going gym etc) so i shouldnt look that suspicious. Do they check id's frequently in places crowded with tourists? However as Im 18 i definitely dont want run to any troubles (especially with thai police, guess im in pretty big problems if my id's checked) so gotta give it some thinking.

Wherever you're from, at 18, you don't have an established track record at pubs and clubs. If you are confident you can maintain, and you do partake in Thailand, you will be in violation of the law; stay under the radar.
Make sure you maintain your composure. Do not, for any reason, become belligerent. Thais don't handle confrontation well, and will not tolerate anger. This applies everywhere.
For the most part, Thais will be very sweet, seemingly shrugging off all of life's irritations. But, when they do react, it is often over the top and en mass. Don't let attitude take over.
If a situation develops, pay attention and cut your best deal, whether that simply means walking away, or negotiating small "gratuity" to resolve the situation.
Now, the infamous go go bars are another story. At these places, even people of age can get into plenty of trouble. Imagine the kind of trouble a minor can find himself in.
