Im afraid I wont be going earlier due to not having enough money together....Iv planned it so I go straight after pay day lol and im already scraping the barrel I reckon!!
Gona fly from HK to Bangkok 19th oct as its the months cheapest flight atm!!

I'm pretty much in the same boat but haven't really planned anything at all. I fancy going to Thailand to the FMP and Chiang Mai. Then I'll probably just stumble my way around Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia.......
Do you know when's supposed to be the best time to go? I can't wait to leave and was gonna go straight after my graduation at the start of August but it's all rainy over there now or so I hear.

Im a 25 years old spanish guy living in Amsterdam at the moment.
Im quiting my job and going travelling to SE Asia, landing in Bangkok in october the 12th.
Im gonna be travelling for around 6 months, and at the moment im making a event/festivals calendar...so, my plan over there is not having a plan, but keeping in mind when is best to go to each place.
So...would be nice to meet over there, travel together and enjoy some parties!
Do you guys know a good place to stay in Bangkok for a few days?Im planning to be there the 1st 3 or 4 days im in Thailand.
By the way, im planning to go to the FMP in december...october & november are the wettest months in Koh phangan...think about it!

Hey! I'm planning on going out to Thailand on my own too...pretty nervous about it! I'm not sure when i will be going out there yet...although sometime between end of Nov-start of Jan most likely.
I haven't really travelled before, I've only been abroad once and that was with family! I just really want to get out there and do it though so I think I'm going to have to just push myself! I've heard from loads of people that you meet other travellers really easily so I'm sure theres nothing to worry about, although I think its mroe the thought of getting myself there at the moment!
Where abouts in the South West are you from Tracey Ann? I'm from North Devon!

Hey also looking to head out to Tailand on my own early Jan 2012 and then on to Aus if all goes to plan!
Im quite nervous , never been anywhere before so just really feel the need to get out the rat race and see some of the world.
Really hope its as gd and easy if not better as my friends experiences of travelling, all made many friends and companions so im sure there is nothing to worry about!
