Hey Guys.
You are going from winter into summer so north to south (as south is the coldest part).
3 months is a lot of time to spend in Australia. I have to admit I would spend much of it in the towns, which is mostly in the southern half of the east coast. Consider visiting Tasmania which is only an hour away by plane from Melbourne.
Cool, I'll look into that. Thanks for your help.
Hey,
I'm starting out in Cairns on 27th Sept. As Cyberia said, lovely tropical climate up North so that's why I'm starting up there first then working my down East Coast for the summer time
If you worked south to north, you'd be hitting the rainy season towards the end of your trip

I am planning on doing this too anyone got any advise on where to stop on the way and how long in each place?
So far I'm thinking...
Cairns 4 days
Townsville 2 days
Whitsundays 3 days
Fraser Island 2 days
Brisbane 4 days
Gold Coast 3 days
Byron Bay 2 days
Sydney 4 days
Then i want to travel from there to melbourne anyone know if theres anywhere worth stopping in between the two?
Thanks Justine
