Hi, Im 26 and land in sydney on the 26th of november. Iv worked in construction since I left school and Iv been looking into jobs in oz and Iv seen a thing called a white card? from what I understand its pretty much like a cscs card? what i wanted to know was if anybody had experience of over there and if you do need one 100% of the time or just some sites/jobs?!
Yeah I think to work on any construction site you will need one. It is only a day course though and you might even be able to do it online.
The only time you may not need one is if it is just someone doing rennovation work on their house or a private job where it is cash in hand.

I worked in demolition in Sydney for a while and yes you need the white card. Its your usual health and safety thing, 1 day course an back in 2008 it cost 100AUD. Most hostels will have posters up showing places in city that do the course.
