Hi I'm 22 from England going to Australia in March forn a year, I have got the working years visa but haven't brought my tickets yet. Planning on starting in melbourne and making my way up the East Coast. I'm pretty sociably and like a good night life. Anyone doing anything simular and want to meet up?
Hello....yeah in the same boat as you really, i have my working holiday visa but i have not bought my tickets yet. I was thinking about breaking the outward journey up and having a holiday in thailand as i was there in April and in march it would be great.
Are you thinking of working in Melbourne for abit before making your way up the east coast?
by the way i am easy going, love a beer and worked in greece and france for many seasons before stupidly returning to the UK!

hi im going to thailand in febuary then onto oz in march, i fly to sydney though, i would definatly visit thailand on your way, ive got freinds who went on there way to oz and cant wait to go back.
oh really, I have heard good things about thailand just nervous about going there first.

Hi, I too am going to Oz in March and also going it alone. I was thinking of going to Thailand first but some people have suggested it is beeter to go Oz first & then Thailand on the way back. I have my visa but have not booked my flight yet therefore I need some advice from someone who knows what is the best option, like how long to go for, ect.

I booked my flights through a company called "STA travel" -extremely helpful / efficient. they have plenty of offices around the UK. How long did your visa process take, from applying to granting ?

If you apply at the official website of the Australia Department of Immigration, your WHV will almost always be granted within a few minutes to an hour. Sometimes (when they experience heavy load or do random spot checking ?) it can take a few days, but never more than a week.
