Hi Guys,
Also do we have to book all our accomodation? Im just a bit worried that because its the busiest time of year and theres three of us they'll be getting booked up or they wont have room for three or something!!
Yes, busiest time of the year so prebook. Thailand is not bad but Australia will be expensive, especially Sydney.
Use the accommodation link at the top of the page.
You might want to book some AirAsia flights for getting around Thailand but these need to be booked early.
Yeah, bookings get a little tight during this season. Definitely book the first night or two and Christmas and New Years Eve!
When you ask for hotel help you should say what CHEAP means to you. Use a baht figure. Once you leave Bangkok you don't find a lot of hostels. There will be a few guest houses and small, no star, hotels available. But the prices will be much more than low season. For Christmas and New Year holiday stays you may be charged extra for parties the hotel has.
Maybe this place in Bangkok will have vacancies - Lub D Hostel. From these places you can also walk to the Skytrain service too.
Okay we have found accomodation for most of our trip! Although i have now come across a situation....where do we stay for the New Years Eve Full moon party? We are in Koh Samui from 27th - 1st Jan and want to goto Phangan for the nye full moon party but we are leaving on the morning of the 1st to go to Krabi (not too sure how were getting there either? Any suggestions) Thanks guys!! x
For travel between Southern Thai Islands, Surat Thani is the main central mainland hub - ferries and boats go to and from there for the islands; frequent buses go to Krabi, Ao Nang and Phuket areas from Surat.
