Hello,
Me and my husband, we are planing a trip to Western Europe. We figured that the time through spring would be fantastic as we will be travelling through Amsterdam too. (The Tulips :D ) I would like to know how much money we'd be spending. Not accurate, of-course.
We'll be starting the tour from London. May be after spending 2 days in London after we reach.
The countries on our list are United Kingdom (London), Netherlands (Amsterdam) , Belgium (Brussels), France (Paris), Switzerland (Geneva) and one last country, just not sure which one to chose from Germany and Italy.
Lets say 2 nights in each city. I'd be getting 15 days of my annual leave, so.
We'd like to travel by train starting from Amsterdam. And travel back to London by plane. Need to know the food & transportation fees.
EXCLUDE Hotels & Airfare. No Shopping, Just sightseeing.
Hi
For help on train prices and planning take a look at The Man In Seat 61 www.seat61.com
Food prices are whatever you like. McDonald's for €4 through to fancy restaurants for €100 per person so it depends what level you want to pitch at. Your destinations are some of the more expensive cities - i'd expect around €10 for a main course in a restaurant, €2 or €3 for a coke or a beer.
Thank you Andyf. That's a big help really. We are on to saving up for the trip. How about the public transport, inside the cities?
You'd find those prices in the Get Around sections of city guides on Wikivoyage, that'd be where I'd look.
Right! Thanks again. :D
