Im looking to leave for australia between sep and nov 14 for 6-12months. I havent travelled before or decided which part of aus i want to go to! would love a travelling buddy so this doesnt seem so daunting. I will be 21 years old at the time of travel and am hoping to start working a month or so after I arrive - hopefully flat share whilst im there!.
I have just left Australia what a pity.
But if you want to go to Vietnam, I can help. my yahoo id is -snip- we can make friends and share some experiences.
[ , no personal details please. ]
Aw, how did you find it ? how long did you stay for? were you alone?
Hi Katy,
I go to Australia in July for 12 months maybe more if i really like it and can apply for another years visa . I'll also be 21 when i get there and I'm planning on staying and working in Sydney for a few months but i havent really planned anything other than that, i was just gonna see where i ended up .

Hey!
I was hoping to head out to Oz aug/sept time too. Maybe stopping over in Thailand on the way, not to sure yet.
Ive been looking at the UltimateOz package which looks like fun but its still a pretty scary concept going alone for the first time!
Hi Jess
Sounds good I would love to speak to someone going.. where abouts would you be leaving from- what part of uk? Im looking at doing a starter thing with STA travel- have you looked at those too? which look the best?
What kind of work are you planning on doing over there or are you open to anything?
And Hi amor13 - Which company does the ultimateoz package- what are the costs like?
The company is called Ultimateoz Its based in Australia. Its pretty much the same as all the other starter packs from STA/Gap360 etc. Think its about £450 and you can do it in either Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns or Melbourne. They get really good reviews for helping you out after the week is over too
I know you could do it a lot cheaper by just going it alone but as a first timer knowing il be surrounded by like minded people doing fun things for the first week sounds a lot less daunting!
Umm anywhere that's the easiest probably as il be goin from Cardiff
Work wise I'm not sure, I'm a hairdresser but i think if I'm on the move that would be difficult so maybe bar work or something ? Open to stopping places on the way guys, maybe a few of us could meet up n go in a group maybe ?
Umm I haven't heard of sta, I looked at ultimate oz but I know more ppl have used ozintro
Where would u be goin from and what work are u looking into? I'm so excited I want to book my flight Asap lol
Jess x
