Carry on Case

Hi everyone, I am designing and making a carry on case for my A-level design and technology project. I was wondering if anyone could tell me any problmes they have come across regarding carry on cases/ hand luggage to try and identify some issues that I could resolve in the deisgn of my product e.g. finding your liquids at the bottom of your bag !
Any input is great, Thanks

What about the shape of the carry on? Possibly pointed at the end so it fits in the overhead compartment snugly?

Jessica, one issue is varying size limits for carry-on between airlines. I sometimes use a compression strap to squeeze my not-quite-full bag down to fit the limit. Eg with Wizz Air who have two tiers of carry on sizes.

So you could make a bag designed to do this from the outset.

The other feature I'd love to see on bags is a modular zip-on extension on the bottom of a rucksack to allow me to have my carry on pack to use as a daybag most of the trip but to also hold the extra modules while traveling on to a new destination. The usual practice works the other way round by having a main travel pack and a daybag - with two sets of shoulder straps so duplication and often the daybag straps are flimsy.

i perfer backpacks. But they are not the best for suits and blazers. i don't like suitcase coz they needs to be carried in hand and not so nice when the suitcase is heavy and the road isn't great to use the wheels. can we plan something in between. Maybe crazy ideas!!
