Hi everyone,
YOU invest a little money in some travel guides for each country. For plane rides visit your hometown or next biggest city travel agencies. Or, if you are handy using the internet book your own flights. (My unsolicited advice is to avoid arriving in a strange country during the middle of the night. Even if the flight is $10 or $20 cheaper. You still pay for a full night in a hotel usually from around noon one day to noon next dayl. Late night transportation from the airport is usually more expensive than during the day or early evening.)
"...would love to use public transports to visit the places."
Look at a map! Distances are greater than what you may think! Yes, there are buses and trains that connect Singapore to Malaysia and to Thailand. (All the way to the top of Thailand.) But your time is short for 3 countries. Unless you are only interested in stamps in your passport you will be wasting time on land transportation between Malaysia and Bangkok/Chiang Mai.
Singapore is expensive. More expensive than Penang and more expensive than most places in Thailand.
When you are at your local travel agency ask how much a one way flight to Singapore or to Kuala Lumpur costs. Then ask how much a round trip costs to these two places from your country airport. Some airlines charge almost the same for one way flights as they do for round trip. You could fly to either KL or Singapore round trip from home. Getting between KL and Singapore is not difficult and not that expensive over land. Maybe make two big trips. One for Malaysia and Singapore and a separate trip for Thailand only. (Round trip.) Just a suggestion! Your home town travel agency may be able to explain things to you.
Many Indian tourists visit Thailand for around a week, although I think you can enter for 15 days wit VOA. Thailand is cheaper than Singapore. Some tourists stay in Thailand for 30 days and still feel that that time is too short for what they want to visit.
Travel guide for each country. Decide what you want to see after looking over the travel guides or pay for professional help at home. Plan a budget out. KNOW how much per day you have for hotels and daily expenses AFTER paying for plane rides. You can book hotels yourself if you have a credit card. For hotel help you must decide on what city and what part of that city you need the hotel at. Then say what your price range is and usually someone can suggest a hotel in your price range. YOU book the hotel yourself or use your home country travel agency.
