United Airlines recently released its new policy on miles earned; the miles you receive is based on how much you pay for the ticket rather than the distance actually traveled. I think this new policy is BS because now I'll only receive roughly 1000 miles for a trip that I travel 4000+ (trips to Europe). Unless they plan on changing the price of their rewards, then I don't plan on sticking with them.
That's definitely a raw deal! I recently joined the scheme which seems quite good but I'm not sure how this compares with other US- based ones.
