I'm flying to Melbourne in August, planning to stay there for a month or so and then move to Sydney, have you worked out in Oz before or just travelled? I'm travelling alone as well, haven't done anything like this before!

Sounds good! Never worked over there before no...Just travelled so it's a whole new thing for me! Very excited though..I leave 2 weeks today!
So how long do you plan to be in oz? Working or just travelling?

Ah very exciting, so you've done all of oz before? I'm hoping to work in Melbourne/Sydney for at least 6months or so and then travel along the east coast etc, maybe go and do some more of south east asia too. I have a year visa, but might look to extend it with the farming and stay on longer!
Have you booked accommodation for long whilst you're there or do you plan on going from hostel to hostel? I heard you can get short term house shares too once you're settled? I want to be in Sydney for at least 4-5 months you see so wasn't sure whether hostels/house shares work out cheaper, if you had any idea?

I've been to Perth and Melbourne then did a road trip up the east coast from Sydney to cairns..
Loved sydney the most out of everywhere that I've been so decided to find work there, have booked a hostel for when I get there for 8 nights while I find a house share and a job, House share will work out cheaper than staying in hostels all the time..
I'm staying in wake up which I've heard good things about and sounds great for meeting new people as it's quite lively and there's a bar underneath which is always good! Hehe

Ahh cool sounds good! I've been told that Melbourne will be somewhere I like but Sydney is probably most fun!
Yeah thought as much, I'm just confused as to where will be best to get one! guess I'll just wait and see what happens, want to be in Sydney for NYE though...

When I've been before I stayed at the jackaroo in kings cross which is fun, kings cross is a cool area, always lively..and I've also stayed at the Sydney harbour yha which I tried to book but was fully booked..really nice and clean and an amazing roof terrace that looks out over the opera house and harbour bridge!

I will be landing into Sydney in December. I have some family there that I will be spending Xmas and New Year with but after that i'll be on my todd I don't have any solid plans yet. Probably work for a bit to gather some money then move on but it would be great to meet you and pick your brains when I'm in Sydney. You can show me the nightlife
