Here's an interesting article on for anyone thinking of doing the Pan American Highway drive - & a lovely photo of a Lemur Leaf Frog..
I've done it four times... once each way on my motorcycle - jumping up/down the east coast via land and sea - and two other two times via boat. It's an interesting time, but the coastal route is a (fairly) well travelled route now. Overland is still (obviously) basically impossible though.
There's not too many places left in the world where you can still say overland is impossible for such a short distance... it'll be sad when it's finally paved...
