Japan this coming October?

Hi all. I'm going to Japan this coming early October. Nagoya to Japan, and possibly back. I don't see many topic about Japan lately, is it a bad time to visit? Anybody else?

It's always a good time to visit Japan. You need to see what is worth visiting and consider getting a rail pass. Also book some accommodation for your first few nights.

Equally a bus pass might be suitable. There are night buses and these could save you the cost of a night's accommodation whilst also moving you from one city to another. We used one from Tokyo to Kyoto and later from Kyoto to Hiroshima. Try Willers at http://willerexpress.com/st/3/en/pc/buspass/

And if you're planning on visiting Hakone and Mt Fuji (including Kawaguchiko), a three day pass for all transport, including the pirate boats on Lake Ashi, the cable cars, buses and trains around the area and the trains between Hakone and Tokyo. See http://www.odakyu.jp/english/deels/freepass/fujihakone/

Enjoy Japan!

I am considering Willer. Because I don't think I can afford JR Pass. October is not a peek season, yes?
