I was planning on going to the Pinnawala elephant orphanage. I was hoping to stay and help out for a couple of days but it says everywhere that you have to stay for at least a week and its hugely expensive! Does anyone know if rocking up at the door and offering my services might do the trick? Same goes for turtle sanctuary.
