Hi everyone! I'm heading to Australia on a working holiday visa in August this year and wondering if anyone has similar plans or advice! It's my first time travelling alone and I'm pretty nervous but very excited! I'm flying on 11th August to Sydney and hope to travel up the east coast before finding a job, but nothing set in stone as who knows what could happen! Would love to chat about it all x

I will be in Sydney from the 15th July, my plans are a little different to yours. Im planning to work there for a few months then travel the east coast when the winter season has finished and summer started.
What ever you decide to do we could always meet up. Im also going over solo in the hope I will be making some travel buddies on the way.

Yes you will all love Oz, just remember the best time to travel the east coast is oct-dec because in Jan and Feb yes it is a bit warmer but it also wet season in the north and cyclone season.
Maybe Travel first then head back to Sydney for the summer Xmas and new year and find work. I think Sydney really is the best city in Oz in the summer, so many beaches and national parks around.
