Hi,
Has anyone had any success using the Flipbac mirror for travel candids. It looks like it might work. When ever I raise my camera to my face I find peoples reactions are not natural or good.
I have an old point and shoot that has a hinged screen and the technique works very well. Also, 'shooting from the hip' gives a nicer perspective in some pictures - and you don't even need to be facing your subject. Good luck with it.
Thanks for your reply. I think I will give the Flip bac a go. True its not a real flip-out screen, but just may be the fix i am looking for. Most comments I have found our positive. First I will try it on the s90. Not sure about the reversed image though.
Regards
Ralph
Sometimes a 'reversed image' kind of helps with composition - unless your subject is moving, which then makes it a pain in the arse.
Thanks for your reply. I agree, panning would almost be impossible.
Just to report, I ended up trying the Flipbac on my Canon S90. Overall I am pleased, it works and protects as stated and looks pretty good.
Most of all I am really enjoying the S90. Awesome little camera. For me the perfect travel camera. I am off to Cambodia and Laos and hope to get some great pics.
