Dirtbike in Asia

I'm planing on going to SE Asia this summer. I want to go to Cambodia first, then visit Thailand and maybe go west to Laos and India and maybe as far as Pakistan. Idealy, I'd go from Cambodia to Laos to Thailand to Myanmar to India to Pakistan, but it all depends on how long my money lasts. I'd like to buy a dirt bike for transportation. How dificult is it to get a dirt bike through the borders I would be traveling across? How much would a 250cc dirt bike cost? I'm thinking my best bet would be to buy from a dirt bike rental shop in Cambodia. Would I be able to sell it easily when I stop traveling?

I use first to get a comparison on airfare. Try as well. Then I would go to the website of the airlines that fly that route. Check different dates to travel and try a one-way fare. Some airlines to BKK will not let you on with a one-way airfare. Do some research and decide what is the best for you: an open return ticket or a one-way to BKK or PNH. I got a $1,300 quote: HNL-PNH r/t staying 6 months.

Teaching English varies from country to country. Cambodia is not as strict on resume and documents as Thailand. I would read website, contact him if you have questions. Teaching in maybe your best bet w/o credentials. Here is also a resource for

Now dirtbikes. Plenty of them to rent/buy in Cambodia. That is not the problem. Crossing borders is another issue. I would contact these and ask your questions. They live and ride in Cambodia and should have answers for you. Here is another on riding a bike overseas.

Good luck with your planning.
