hi, i have just booked my RTW trip leaving in june this year for 7 months. i will be travelling with my gf, our trip will include:

how much are you planning on taking? can anyone give me advice on how much money i will need for my trip
A lot will depend on the activities/trips you plan to do, how much you drink/party, generally whether you plan to live cheaply (dorms) or splash (own room), and whether you plan to take internal flights not covered by your RTW ticket, etc.
But, I roughly worked it out at £5500-£6000 for a budget trip. Oz & NZ will be the costliest leg, so that's where you really need to watch the budget - costs could go much higher if you're not careful.
How much were you planning on taking?
i would say £6000 each would be the most we could take, i was hoping that as we are staying for so long in SE Asia, that our money would streatch leaving most of our budget for oz and nz. we will be trying to live fairly cheaply but will obviously not want to have no money to enjoy ourselves. if it comes to it we can shorten our trip but we were hoping to spend xmas in sydney. hope our money lasts that long.
