I am reaching Amsterdam on March 1, 2010 early morning and staying there for 2 days (until March 2nd night).
I have booked accommodation at Flying Pig Uptown for 1st night. It would be great if someone can suggest me which places to visit during this time. This is my first trip to Amsterdam, so not really sure of which places to go to
I would definately hire a bike and ride around the city for one of your two days in that time you have to check out Vondel park as a cool relaxing place. I would also suggest the Van Gogh museum but you probablly would not be interested. I would say don't bother about the Heinekin experience.
A free map from the bus/tram/train offices and a daily freedom pass to travel on all the citys public transport for the day, for about €6. That'll do it for day 1.
Day 2, go to Anna Frankhaus and as many museums as you can squeeze in, in between a canalboat trip (only about an hour) and a few hours in the coffee shops.
2 days in such a wonderful city is never enough.
