Hi Guys,
Pai is a great little place to chill out in for a couple of days, and you can do hill treks from there. Chiang Mai is also worth a visit - there is a great market there and if you are interested in cooking courses there are some excellent options.
I'm not sure what your onward travel plans are, but if you are heading to Laos you can book the trip on the slow boat in Pai or Chiang Mai.
