schengen visa

How can you get away with being in Europe for 6 months with a schengen visa? Does anyone have any experiences they could share? Thanks!

Don't be stupid

what great advice you give

As far as I know, if you try to be in Europe on a Shengen Visa for more than the allotted 90 days in 181, and you get caught, then you will be black marked in ALL shengun visa countries and not be allowed to travel within them.
Most shengun visa countries, depending on your country of origin, age and financial situation, offer a travelling holiday visa which will allow you to move around a particular country for 12 months or so. But this needs to be arranged with the country you plan to spend the 6 months in.
I guess if it were me, and I knew my travel itinery in advance, I'd contact the consulates of the countries I wanted to visit and arrange something specific.

Again, I stress, if you are caught in violation of shengun visa, if you overstay, you are black marked in ALL shengun visa countries.

Cheers and good luck.

i am a small business in delhi and want to travel to europe with my wife and daughter. i can show 2 lakhs in my current bank account we have travel twice together to bangkok. i dont hv property in my name but we have our own house in delhi. should we try for europeon visa. will we get the visa for holidays just for 1 week?

Only 2/3 of Europe actually is in the schengen zone.
Just go to the UK for a few a months or Serbia or something.

you said "How can you get away with being in Europe for 6 months "
right? so you never mentioned you had to be in the schengen zone excatly? Do you?

my plan was to stay in ireland for a month than go to italy, spain and greece

Do you actually need to pay for a visa or is it just what they stamp in the airport?

Your American. So they will just stamp you at the airport. You dont have to pay anything. But they will certainly check your date of arrival.

So do not overstay.

But you can spend 3 months in schengen anywhere outside the schengen for 90 days. Britain will take you for 6 months.
