I'm heading to Oz on a 12 month working holiday visa in October, I know I would need to inform my bank about it but do I need to inform anyone else?
It kinda depends on your circumstances - e.g if you pay student loan and are from the UK, you'll need to let the Student Loans Company know.
Bear in mind that even if you have advised your bank, your debit card still may be declined in a foreign ATM so definately take a back-up credit card.
Other than that, if you have no landlord to advise etc, it's pretty easy. I'll be permanently leaving my current UK job, moving out of my rented property and permanently leaving my current city before I go, so it's a bit more complicated!
Well I am from the UK and I don't have any loans and I will be taking a back up card or two for money.
