"You can legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months if you have either a current driver's licence from your home country or an International Driving Permit (IDP). After 12 months you are required to convert to a New Zealand licence. This applies to each visit to New Zealand."

Hey Annie, got my backpackers insurance from a company called insure and go. Used them for my oz insurance a few years back and they have great cover and good prices. I have taken a policy covering me for 540 days in NZ and it was under £300. win.
Hi Gavin thanx for the website i went on money supermarket.com and getting a quote for 130 for worldwide cover as i go to abu dhabi before NZ! though when i put in for wintersports it was around 350! so i think i cud get a seperate insurance for winter sports when i go to NZ! when do u go to NZ?
No problem, i fly out today and arrive wellington on the 29th April.
