just browsed through the forum posts and heard a lot about oz intro mentioned. is it worth doing or is it a waste of money. what do they exactly do? i could probaby research into it but is there anyone out there whos used oz intro and would they reccommend it or not? im thinking of saving my money as best as i can so not sure whether to go with them or not.. im only going to australia for 5 weeks from mid july 2011 so any advice would be great advice x

Im debating the same myself, from all the feedback Ive read, it seems one side says its a waste of money, while the others say its the best eek ever and is worth the money so im no clearer myself.
Their a company thats an introduction to australia, i.e sorth things like your first week in hostel, Activities for the week, and sort the boring stuff like Bank accounts, tax file number and medicare etc. (For all the info just pop on to their website)
Lot depends on your budget also, if you have a healthy budget for your 5 weeks then I would probably do it, if not then I would prob give it a miss..just my opinion
For 5 weeks it really would be a waste of money; they prepare you for a whole year in Australia, and help you arrange things like a tax file number and bank account, both of which you don't need when only there for five weeks. Also spending a whole week of such a limited time in Sydney is a bit much; yes, Sydney's a great city which you can easily spend many weeks in, but when you're only in Australia for 5 weeks, then I wouldn't spend more than 4-5 days in Sydney.
