1 month in europe

Hi!

To think on.

How long is this trip? You have five countries already. Recognise the size of Europe and how much time will be expended travelling, whatever your transport. Five movements, one day or near one day lost for each move.

Hostel places for two may not be as good value as a twin room in a hotel.

All transport has a place. Do not be foolish enough to accept the marketing, of whatever agency which appears to have promoted this train pass in your mind, without doing the maths. comparisons.

'Any suggestions as to what specific places we should visit?' - Are there no guide books where you are? Do you not know your own mind and what interests you?

'any other countries we could see' - there are, depending upon your views, as many as fortynine countries in Europe. Where do you like the sound of from your research and, again, have you the time?

'how much we should plan to bring?' - that will depend on whether you are including transport and accommodation, i.e. you have made prepayments or not.

I wouldn't add any more countries to your plan - you've got plenty there to occupy yourself for a month.

I don't think a rail pass is a terribly good idea for the itinerary you are planning - you would need to buy lots of sectors. Consider buying a 1 country pass for Italy if you are going to spend some time there. Otherwise it's likely to be much better value to fly between cities (and to Ibiza). Book flights with budget airlines as far in advance as possible to get decent fares.

There's so much to see in Italy. I adore . Also, although it is 'super-touristy', I wouldn't miss out on visiting which is simply one of the most fascinating historic sites in the world.

In England, London has very good and varied nightlife but so do other cities, particularly Manchester. And if you like your nightlife smaller but lively and friendly I'd give an honourable mentioned to my adopted hometown, , which is also blessed with a wide variety of interesting things to do and is by the sea. In my view the most beautiful counties in England are (dramatic mountain scenery) and (lovely rugged coastline). If you wanted to see some lovely English landscapes (and seascapes) but keep near the nightlife you could do worse than heading to . You can even surf there.

Travelling in Europe isn't cheap, so expect things to be expensive. I would sit down and cost out everything you think you need, then add at least an extra 50% to that.

Okay thank you both this has really helped!

I definitely need to do some more research.
This trip would be one month and i want to fit as many places in as i can, but still be able to enjoy them!

there are many places in Europe and there you can also enjoy if you are on holiday .
