Visa

Hi there! I am planning for a tour to thailand, cambodia and vietnam. With my wife and our daughter, this coming summer. What are the requirements and how to get the visa for every country? We will depart at the Philippine airport.

Hi there

We are currently in Bangkok and had the same questions.

In Thailand you get a 30 day visa on arrival and then you either leave or pay to stay longer (i don't know about the cost as we are leaving on the 30 day) you can then come back into Thailand for 15 additional days at no cost.

Cambodia and loas can be done at the border, not sure about cost yet.

Vietnam must be done prior to arrival, we have done ours at a travel agent in Bangkok at a cost of 4200 thb each. It took 2 days from giving our passport to getting them back. You also need a passport photo.

I would also recommend checking the link above to be 100% sure but hopefully this helps.

Have a safe trip

Leighton.

mhelvz,
Most visitors get a free 30 day entry permit when flying into BKK. Not all however. It depends on your nationality. See above "FAQ Thailand Visa". If you need more than 30 days in Tland, you will need to buy a tourist visa before arrival. Or leave on your 30th day, come back in via land and get a free 15 day entry permit.

As stated above, both Cambodia & Laos will sell you a 30 day visa on arrival, air or land. It is supposed to be $20 for Cambodia, $35 for Laos. If you use the Poipet crossing, you may have to fork over a bit extra 'tea money' to expedite the process. read about it

VN is the one country you will need to plan ahead. covers my experience flying into SGN. If you fly into VN, use the 'visa on arrival' system. It is cheaper than buying a visa in your country. If you are going into VN via land border, buy your VN visa in either Phnom Penh or Vientiane. Fast costs more, figure about $35 if you give them 2-3 days.

Good luck with your planning.
