thai visas and re-entry

Hi all,
i will be going to thailand in the middle of my aus-new zealand-south east asia trip, but have to come back to the uk whilst in thailand for my sisters wedding. i am only coming back to the uk for a week then flying back out th thailand.
If i enter thailand from malaysia the first time, then fly out of thailand to the uk, then back to thailand form the uk a week later this will mean i am using two entries.
I am then going north to vietnam, cambodia and laos then hoping going to malaysia. if however i choose to get to malaysia by going through thailand, will i be able to get in even though i have used my double entry visa already? or will i be able to just re enter over land on the 15 day visa thing they have?

Alex,
You have it right. As soon as you exit Thailand, you have used up that visa, regardless of how many days are remaining. Your flight back into BKK will activate your second entry. That visa will expire when you exit for VN. You will only get 15 days when you enter Thailand overland on your way to Malaysia. If you need more time, you can extend for 7 additional days. Or buy a 30 day visa while in Phnom Penh. Or fly Air Asia: PNH-BKK and get the free 30 day entry permit. Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for that.
I have realised now that i have left it too late to send my passport off up to the thai consulate in Hull for them to stamp my passport
I'm heading out to australia and new zealand first at the end of december, can i book a thai visa whilst in a different country other than the UK? or can i just buy one at the border? i will be crossing by land but want to stay a few days more than 15 days.
Should i just use that thing where i can pay for a few extra days?

by the way i will be travelling to thailand by land from malaysia, is there anywhre to uy a 30 day visa there?
