Feedback For My 2012 RTW Trip

Hello all! While some planning is still tentative, this is pretty close to what my final concrete itinerary (not necessarily in this order) and budget will look like for my 2012 RTW Trip:

What you need to do is look at the best dates to visit these countries. You do not want to be in Asia in rainy season (generally June to October) , or Down Under in their winter (June to August, which is hurricane season in the Caribbean).

Buying a RTW ticket can save money, and booking side flights as needed.

After Peru you can go south to Chile then east to Argentina?

New Zealand, do see the North Island as well as the South. Many just see the south of the South Island and that's it.

Bangkok is a travel hub and air lines like Air Asia will allow to to get to other nearby countries cheaply. Thailand you can spend weeks for what it could cost for a few days in Japan, Australia or Europe.

Cheap airlines make Europe easy to get around but do try not to cut back on yourself. Many would say Spain is worth a visit, as well as France and Greece.

Egypt, Tunisia, Somalia, and other countries have a lot of trouble at present and trouble may erupt in yet other countries before you go so that may be a case of leaving it late before you decide.

Have you seen the Caribbean? For not too much money (Cruise Channel on TV or various internet sites) you can take a 2 or 3 week cruise which takes in maybe 10 or more islands which some would say is the best way to see them.
