Indonesia visa

leaving for Malaysia and Indonesia on Tuesday, exciting! but very unprepared...I don't have a visa but know that i'm fine for Malaysia and that I can get a 30 day tourist visa on arrival for Indonesia. Just wondered whether it is possible to do a border run for indonesia, to get another one for another 30 days after the initial one expires, or whether they don't allow you to enter the country again.

Your border run should be OK as a one off, but bear in mind that they dont share too many border crossing points. Sure you could fly in and out, but then why not just invest the time in applying for a 60 day visa at one of the consulates? Few years since I did it, but it was a straightforward 2 day affair in Penang. They may just ask you why you didnt get it at home, appropriate answer might be that you havent been in your home country for some time. By the way, 30 days in Indonesia is nothing, you wont see much but I recommend Sarawak.

Hope this helps

You get a 30 day visa on arrival, cost $25.

If you tell them you want to extend it, you get an extra 30 days for another $25.
