UK for 6 days

Hi, me and my friends, 26 years old males, are travelling to the UK for 6 days in September....it´s our first trip to the UK, so of course we are staying in London..but we don´t know if we gonna spend our 6 days there or stay 3 days in another city.
All the touristic attractions information are in guidebooks...so, what we really wanna know is about nightlife. Best places to go in London, and in other cities you recomend.
Thanks!

Have you considered going to Brighton? It is 50 mins on the train from London, has a nice beach, some good tourist attractions and the nightlife is really good (lots of pubs, bars, clubs etc).

Bethdavidson, first of all, thank´s for your answer.
It´s the first time I heard about Brighton..I´ll tell my friends about it! I´m sure that we are gonna visit Brighton.
What is the best neighborhood to stay in London, and in Brigthon?
Thank you!

No problem!

I'm not too sure about London, you're best asking someone who knows it well for advice about that but, in Brighton, there are loads of places to stay either right in the centre of town or right on the seafront all for reasonable prices.

Hope this helps!

I used to live in London, and i've spent the last 5 years living in Brighton, so I'll try and help.
Honestly, I think Brighton is the nicest area in the UK, and amazing for clubbing, however it is better through the week.
It will be unfortunate timing as all the students hit the clubs like crazy from like the beginning of October, so it might be a bit quieter when you get there.

Hostels in Brighton, don't stay in Sobo, or the one right next to it (both in Hove). Try to stay in one of the slightly more expensive ones in Brighton, the difference in quality is insane!

Clubbing in London, the one thing you will have to look out for is sometimes bouncers give you a hard time if you go in as a group of guys, so try and grab some girls before you get in the queue, or make some friends in the queue! Also, don't wear trainers to the club.

Check -snip- blog to see if they have anything on the UK. They normally release tips and guides for different areas.

In regards to where to stay in London, think carefully because this will make a big difference to your stay. West London is the best, but all areas have their good and bad parts.

I hope you have an amazing time

London is obviously amazing for nightlife, so it depends what you're looking for! Do you want something more mainstream or a bit more underground?

If you decide to head for the coast, try Bournemouth or Cornwall. There's fantastic night life in Bournemouth plus one of the best beaches in the UK. Brighton (as mentioned) is also amazing for night life (they have some great clubs on the beach such as Digital and Coalition) stay central in Brighton with accommodation. Prices should be coming down in september.

For London, try hotels like Holiday Inn or hostels such as No. 8. Just remember in London, you can get anywhere and everywhere on public transport but South London (where I'm from!) is probably best avoided. Not the nicest side of London. Make sure you buy a travel card zones 1-4 will cover most of London (and some air ports!)

Check out Camden- good for a bohemian vibe and some great clubs down there (esp. Coco & Barfly)
Leicester square- the clubs there are good too but expensive (try Tiger tiger, Oxygen, Sound etc. you'll see them all around there, they will all cost on average £5 to get in)
Southbank- this is where you'll find the millennium eye and the Tate modern- it's also very lively and fun.
Soho- great clubs for example Roxys, just be aware this is the more 'open' side of town- lots of sex shops and gay bars.

So London's very lively at night except Sundays most of the clubs kick out at mid night and make sure it's not a bank holiday! No shop sells alcohol after 11pm but most clubs are open un till about 3am or longer.

Have fun
