I have a international flight that arrives in Auckland at 24.00 I need to get down to Rotorua. naked bus has the first bus at 7.30am from the airport. Does the airport close and they will kick me to the street, or can I doss around for a miserable 7 hours till the bus arrives?

Im pretty sure the airport would not close. You could search "Auckland Airport" at www.google.co.nz and see if it answers some of your questions.
I'm fairly sure it doesn't close - there are flights arriving and leaving into the early hours of the morning and the first flight of the day leaves just before 6am. I got there recently around 3.30 for that early flight and there were quite a few people around although none of the shops were open until 4am I don't think. You should be able to find somewhere to sleep.

yeah one of the drawbacks of the internet, you get lazy. i should have searched then asked. i actually did search after i posted the question and pretty much found my answer. and yes the airport is open 24/7.

Yup thanks bex, was having a lazy moment yesterday and posted here instead of looking myself! and yes its open 24/7 so looking forward to a lovely overnight in the airport now! oh well it will be worth it to get back to my little campervan and finally cook my own dinners again!
