yes, airasia is alright. it's a low-cost carrier (aka budget airline) so don't expect 1st class service or seats! anyhow, it's a short flight, so u will be fine.
book early, look out for promotions. the closer to the date it is, the more expensive it gets!
Yes have flown that route with AirAsia and wasn't asked about onward travel.
