Hi! I'm going on a trip around eastern and central Europe in February-March, flying into Krakow and out of Bergamo. I've got a rough idea of which places I'd like to visit in between but I'd like any advice as to how long you should spend in each of these places, or if any are worth omitting to give me longer in other cities:
Hi there, we have visited Bratislava and Budapest whilst on the danube cycle route. Bratislava could be comfortable visited in 1-2 days, as the old and interesting section is compact and small.
Budapest on the other hand has Buda and Pest to visit, all the wonderful bath houses (think Michael Palin travels), the bridges, and could you please visit for me Szoborpark or Statue Park is a park in Budapest's XXII district, with its gathering of monumental Soviet-era statues including: Lenin, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, as well as local Hungarian Communist leaders such as Béla Kun. We didn't have time to get there. Whilst we have no communist leanings, these statues are iconic and I think worth a visit?
