The Redcliffe area may be somewhere to look (just north of Brisbane).
Hello,
On the Sunshine Coast you could look at the areas around Caloundra Beach, Mooloolaba/Cotton Tree/Alexandra Headland or further north Coolum Beach and Noosa.
The "Mooloolaba/Cotton Tree/Alexandra Headland" area and Noosa are going to be the busiest particularly in the summer with lots of tourists but they are also my favourites! Coolum is much more laid back and Caloundra is probably in between. In terms of baby groups - sorry I am not sure but the Sunshine Coast Daily is the local newspaper for that area and it may have listings of this type!
I used to live around the area so if you do have any other questions let me know!

Thank you for your replies - I have looked all the areas that were suggested and Redcliffe, Caloundra Beach, and the Cotton Tree area look promising. Ideally we'd like to the area, perhaps rent a holiday apartment for a couple of weeks, and look round a few places before committing ourselves to anything - do you think that we would be able to find somewhere ready to move in to within a couple of weeks, or would you recommend arranging somewhere to rent before we get to Australia?
Thankyou for all your help.
